Peter Vandall

Peter is an American Patriot who was born in Rye, New Hampshire on July 20th, 1981. At 18 months of age, Peter moved to New Canaan, Connecticut, where his father worked in the marketing industry, while his mother worked as a recovery room nurse. He has three brothers named John, Michael, and Matthew. He also has one sister, who goes by the name of Jill. Peter attended high school, and then graduated. He spent 13th through 16th grade at the University of Rhode Island, where he majored in Political Science. During his senior year, he enrolled in a film course, which changed his life forever. After graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2003, Peter found employment at two production companies that both produced programming for Food Network. Over the years, Peter was a production assistant, assistant editor, offline editor, and online editor. Knowing that he needed a change of pace, Peter applied and was quickly accepted to SVA’s Masters program in Social Documentary Film. His decision to attend SVA is among his top five best decisions he has ever made in his entire life. Peter is married to his beloved wife Carolyn, whom he has loved for the past decade. They both reside in Norwalk, Connecticut, where they are raising a small white dog named Daisy, who is two years old. Peter believes that hard work, humor, and kindness are the essential ingredients for a rich and fulfilling life. His favorite movies are Jaws, Ghostbusters, and Outside Providence. His favorite meal is spaghetti and meatballs.
