Kate Fisher is a native of Connecticut, who has spent time living on both the East and West coasts. As an undergraduate, she studied photography and journalism. She has experience working in public radio, the non-profit sector, and post-production. Her motivation for pursuing an MFA in Social Documentary at the School of Visual Arts lies in the power of storytelling. She believes documentary filmmaking is not only a way to understand the world, but has the ability to build connection and bridge divides.
