Rooj Alwazir

Rooj Alwazir is a Yemeni-American independent artist based in New York. Rooj is also the co-founder of SupportYemen Media Co-op, where she and her friends direct and produce social-issue based films. Her work has been exhibited in various cities, such as Paris, Brussels, London, and Washington D.C and her writings have also been featured in numerous publications, including Rolling Stone and Al Jazeera. Rooj is a vegan foodie, a coffee snob and always up for talking about queer and brown people things. She is currently pursing a masters degree in Film in New York City.
