Are you interested in combining social activism and creativity? Passionate about storytelling? The MFA Social Documentary Film at SVA program is for you!

Our two-year master's degree program equips you with the fundamental skills of documentary filmmaking, including story, cinematography, directing, and editing, as well as the network to rely upon for a robust career.

Attend one of our Info Sessions (online or in person), and get an opportunity to tour the department, hear about our curriculum, meet our Department Chair Maro Chermayeff, as well as faculty, staff, and alumni from the program.
