Interested in human stories?  Connected to social justice issues?  Explore the potential of a career in documentary storytelling at SVA’s MFA Social Documentary Film program!

Our two-year master’s program provides students with skills and support from a passionate community of experienced filmmakers and industry leaders. The program offers a robust curriculum, including directing, editing, cinematography, producing, and insight into industry trends and outlets for distribution. Students not only receive the foundational skills of filmmaking, but the mentorship to find their unique creative voice.
