Michael Epstein, Filmmaker

Visionary Journalism: Script, Text and Treatment I

Michael Epstein is an Academy Award-nominated documentary filmmaker whose work has been awarded two George Foster Peabody awards, two Primetime Emmy awards, a Writers Guild Award, a Clio, as well as numerous other distinctions. His films have screened in dozens of international film festivals, including the Sundance Film Festival, The Berlinale, The Toronto International Film Festival, and and the New York Film Festival.  He is also a successful digital and commercial director. He has taught documentary journalism at the SVA MFA program in Social Documentary since its founding.
