Julie Anderson originally majored in Journalism and French with the intention of becoming a writer or to work in the foreign service until she was offered a chance with ABC Sports to work on alpine skiing at the Sarajevo Olympics. From there, she pursued a career as a sports writer, then producer and director at ESPN and then HBO Sports, and HBO Documentary Films as a development executive. She is now developing documentary films for PBS, and is interested in creating serialized documentaries.
