Erik Spink

Erik Spink was born and raised in The Bronx. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Studies from SUNY Purchase College’s School of Film and Media Studies.

Erik’s BA thesis “The Documentary Interview As A Hidden Text” examines three documentary films on the subject of the Vietnam War, focusing on various interview techniques, filmmaker ethics, the retelling of traumatic experiences, and the editing of interviews. In addition to theoretical studies, Erik has produced work in documentary, narrative, and experimental forms. His focus has been, and remains, in non-fiction cinema.
